.a little trip. June 2, 2011

The long weekend is coming up here in Launceston and I was thinking of getting away.  I’m dreaming of Sintra, Portugal…

Praça da Republica, Sintra, Portugal, 2002

or Guanajuato, Mexico (see it HERE) – incredible image by Nadsart.

…but it will more than likely be somewhere like Hobart, Tasmania. (o:

Whichever way, it would be lovely to have a little break!

What about Freetown, Sierra Leone? It would take you all the weekend just to get here though-lol. I love your blog BTW. Do you know that Portugal is very close to Teneriffe? We could fly and meet you there!!!

Hi Ruth, Well dreams are good no doubt about it. I was looking at an ad in the paper which seems to be in every Saturday about various places for accommodation and one that I looked up for fun once is at Port Sorell. It looks adorable – 2 bedrooms and was very reasonable. However, as the weekend is not far away its probably booked out but I always meant to mention it to you in case you had a weekend away.

Paul preferred to take another Monday off & create our own long weekend in a few weeks, so maybe I can get the name of that place off you to have a look-see!

  4. I’m seriously looking forward to the long weekend. I’ll probably be going to the lounge room, but that’s okay 🙂 It’ll be nice to do some reading. Love the shot from Mount Wellington.
