I made a gift recently of an owl egg cozy for a grown-up girl who loves owls, the colour red and handmade things. This owl has found a happy home, and will probably be enjoyed by my friend’s one year old daughter as well.

Hello!
I’m pleased, but also a little surprised, to find that I still have a blog!! I thought perhaps it had closed itself down from neglect over the past month or so! Thankfully, I remembered my password, and can now return to a bit of craft blogging!
The most important crafting I’ve done in recent weeks is making some Leo the Lionheart soft toys and brooches. These toys are being sold to raise money and support for the Fogarty family, and in particular their 15 month old son Leo, who was diagnosed with cancer last month, and has relocated from Launceston to Melbourne with his parents, to undergo significant treatment. His story has touched many, many people. Both people who know them well and people who only know of them have come on board to help out in practical ways, such as making & selling Leo the Lionheart toys.
There is a Leo the Lionheart Facebook page here, where you can purchase an amazing and individual lion for $20, (or $30 for a special order Leo), and brooches for $8. There are also beanies, canvases and t-shirts, plus the occasional auction.
See this link for more info and background on how the project started, which was initiated by Pene Daniel. Both Leo’s parents and Pene are people that I know personally, and it is an honour to be part of a community of people who are doing whatever they can do to help.
If you are not on Facebook, but would like to buy a Leo the Lionheart, please contact penedaniel(at)hotmail.com [I do have an '@' sign on my keyboard, just don't want Pene to get any spam by me posting her email address here
]
God bless you, Leo!

Sometimes errors can’t be fixed, but other times, they just become a new creative challenge…this card started well, then got a little messy, then was salvaged & has turned into one of my favourites!
The top left corner was originally blank. I decided the blank bit was too large in comparison to the placement and shape of the beautiful blossom stamp (from the lovely ‘Easter Blossoms’ Stampin’ Up set). So I stamped some of the blossom off the top left hand corner of the page…however, it turns out the rubber image on the bottom of the stamp and the image sticker on the top were not lined up, so everytime I stamped, it was completely in the wrong place. So frustrating when you know exactly what you are trying to achieve.
So, after putting it down for an hour, I decided to so some more tearing & cover the whole mess up with the blossomed paper (Christina Re paper designs). (Thanks to my friend Bec for the indirect inspiration – she made a fantastic bloke’s Valentine’s Day card recently with torn paper at the top & bottom of the card with the sentiment in the centre, & it helped me salvage this one).
Next, to felt…
This little bluebird brooch was a gift for a friend recently to cheer her up, and I’ve decided to offer more like him in my Made It Online Shop.
Best return to the jobs that won’t seem to go away, no matter how many times I check my blog…(o:

P.S. So sorry for horrid blurry photos…my camera has decided it prefers blurry focus over anything else, and I can’t be entirely sure, but I’m thinking it could have something to do with a certain 2 year old’s fingerprints that I tried to clean off the lens the other day. Hmmm…
Recently, a beautiful little girl named Ivy Ruth joined her proud new parents on the outside, and I am very honoured to share a name with her! Every time I mention her to Ethan by her first name only, I am politely reminded that she is “Ivy Ruth, like mummy”…very sweet.
When Ivy was born, I wanted to make her a cute little felt bird rattle. So when I set up my Molto Piccolo Facebook Group not long after that, I just had to name that design an ‘Ivy Birdie’ after her.
Here are some photos of Ivy with her gift…
CONGRATULATIONS to Dani & Kristie – your new daughter is completely adorable!

Th original version was white on one side and chocolate on the other, but more recently I have made the same design in grey/pink.
Hope you’re enjoying your week and finding lots of lovely things to be inspired by.

(Ivy Birdies are available for $9.50 and can be ordered via this blog or via my Facebook page).
I’m so excited that my dear friend, Melissa, has started a blog of her own! I’m going to following her and thought you might like to, too! It’s called Stationview Cottage and will be about her family, home, favourite finds and her love of all things to do with paper.
Hope you are enjoying your Sunday afternoon as much as me. Have been sitting out on the front deck in the sunshine (such a surprise, given it’s a very cold time of year where I live) drinking tea and chatting all afternoon. Such a lovely change to getting all rugged up inside (although that has it’s own appeal some days).
I’ve been working on some new bits and pieces for Molto Piccolo’s hair accessory range, and recently these ones made their way to Africa with a friend who was going to visit her sponsor child and give her some gifts. So these ones were especially enjoyable to make. (o:
(I’ve been meaning to say that often, my photos are quite small in size when I publish a post, as I have to reduce them down so they don’t take forever to upload. However, you can view them at a much better size just by clicking on the photo – it will take you to a full-sized version).
Bye for now!

Felt is my next favourite thing to work with after paper. It is so easy to create from, and is very adaptable. I have been playing around with some new designs as I have landed my first stockist! (More info on that when it’s all finalised!) So I’m very excited to be putting together a collection, not just of felt items, but all sorts of molto piccolo {very tiny: Italian} goodies!!
So here are the pics of a few new ones that have come about in the last few days. Hope you like!
Adapted from my original Hope Birdie hairclip design. Original version is filled with stuffing!, and this one is a flat little thing. (o:
The flower/heart hairband is one that I made a while back and posted previously, see it here.
Hope all is good for you on this lovely Thursday.

Well, 12 days have gone by since I last added to my blog. Just want to say thanks to all of you who have been checking in on me. Yes, we have all been a bit unwell (still have one sick little person) & we also celebrated a 4th birthday as well. So all round, have simply not been able to sit & enjoy the luxury of a creative post.
But today, I finally get to return & enjoy a bit of craft-love. I’ve been inspired by Made It sellers and have found some lovely pics that I enjoyed, so thought you might also.
Tomorrow, when the sun is hopefully out, I can take some pics of some things I’ve been working on & post them for you.
So til then, enjoy the images below!

Today it’s mainly just pictures of some projects. I was inspired by the current Just Add Ink challenge, which is to include dimension in your projects. {The challenge details are here: http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/2010/02/just-add-ink-5.html} So here are two projects that have developed.
I saw this frame from The Paper Tie Affair store on www.madeit.com.au which gave me the idea for my card.
You can see this and other gorgeous paper items for sale at their store here: http://www.madeit.com.au/storecatalog.asp?userid=8540
Hope you had a great Wednesday.

P.S. Happy Birthday Graeme!!!
That flag is an awesome sight on any day, but even more so on Australia Day. (Photo from http://tizona.wordpress.com/2009/02/11/australian-flag-collection/) Hope you spent the day in some very appreciative way of our great and beautiful country. I spent hours on the beach (very Australian!) in Ulverstone jet-skiing. Even have some windburn and a tiny bit of sunburn to prove it! (Yes, I did put lots of sunscreen on, but it is the Tasmanian sun after all!)
So guess what? I arrived home very late last night to discover that I won! Won what? The gorgeous Tabitha Emma blog giveaway that I posted about a couple of days ago!!! (See my post here: http://moltopiccolo.wordpress.com/2010/01/25/tabitha-emma-giveaway/). I was so excited! This image is from Tabitha’s blog and you can see her complete “And the Winner Is” post here: http://tabithaemma.blogspot.com/2010/01/and-winner-is.html
Isn’t that cool!
So now to my crafty things…today I am sending off my very first blog order – thanks to the lovely Emily who was my first blog customer! I truly appreciate all the orders I am receiving for little handmade goodies and I hope each one of the recipients enjoy them immensely, whether you are giving them as gifts or keeping them for yourself.

Hope Birdies Hair Snaps
I am working on creating some little felt Babushkas that may end up on here sometime soon…the design is also perfect for cards so I will share them as soon as I can!
